Hi, if any of you have an external usb hard drive/s & have had the "Delayed Write Failed" problem, then read on. I recently bought a 320gb external drive to backup all my important files. I was using Microsoft's program called "SyncToy" but I personally didn't find it had many options for backing up, just simple easy backup functions. I backed up a few times with it with no problems at all, then about a week ago it would start backing up, then would say completed & I checked the drive & it had been wiped. I found many backup programs on the internet & they would all start ok, then end up failing & "Delayed Write Failed" would show in the system tray. I googled the problem & many people had different opinions on how to fix it, but nothing worked. I did a bit more googling & found the website below, I followed what the person said & it worked fine. I did a backup with 1 of the programs I downloaded which failed many times before & it backed up all the files with no problems just under 2 hours. Also below the top link is Microsoft's help page for the problem, I tried what was said on there, but that didn't do anything before i followed what was said on the top link page.
